Although all VSV computers are connected to the TU Delft network, they are fully ours. This means that we must also install software and make changes ourselves, even if admin access is needed. Admin access is quite easy to achieve, if you know how it works. Normally, it's as simple as logging in using:
Sometimes, if a computer's localadmin hasn't been accessed for a long time, you might get a “this account's password has expired” error. This means that you have to change the password. To do this, you must restart the computer to go to the log-in screen, and log in as the local admin with the user name and password mentioned above. Windows should then prompt you to change the password. Do this, and you're good to go again!
